Bay Pride 2026 Youth Logo Design Contest
Design the logo for the 2026 Bay Pride festival! The new logo will be used on St. Margaret’s Bay Pride’s website, social media sites, posters, printed materials, gifts, and any other materials promoting the Bay Pride Festival happening July 5-26, 2026.

Contest period
The contest opens on Monday, March 2nd and closes on Friday, March 27th at 11:59 p.m Atlantic time.
Eligibility
This contest is open to anyone residing in Nova Scotia under the age of 25. By entering, participants agree to be bound by the contest rules.
How to Enter
All entries must be submitted electronically on this form or to stmargaretsbaypride@gmail.com. Submissions must include the full name of the person who designed the logo, email address, postal address, and telephone number. One or more submissions per person is acceptable. Each submission must be sent in a separate email or form entry. There is no fee to enter the contest.
Logo Design Guidelines and Parameters
The logo will be used for the 2026 Pride festival and should represent 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride and the community of St. Margaret’s Bay. The logo can include the words “Bay Pride 2026”, but does not need to. There are no font or colour restrictions.
Entries must be submitted as JPEG or PNG files. For quality reproduction purposes, the winning entry must later be submitted in scalable vector graphic format (EPS).
The logo must be easy to use, handle, resize, and manipulate for all reproduction purposes. It should be visually appealing on both small (as small as 2 cm x 2 cm) and large scales.

Intellectual Property
All entrants affirm their submissions are their own original work, have not been copied from others or from previous designs, including their own, and do not violate the intellectual property rights of any other person or entity. The use of artificial intelligence in the design of the logo is not permitted.
The winning submission becomes the sole property of St. Margaret’s Bay Pride and may be used for any festival purposes, including, but not limited to, display on websites, social media sites, posters, and other materials.
The name of the winning entrant will be acknowledged in the festival website and on social media.
Determination of 2026 Logo and Prizes
The 2026 Bay Pride Festival logo will be selected by a panel comprising Pride committee members. Their decision will be final and no further correspondence shall be entered into. Entries will be assessed on their visual appeal, alignment to purpose, quality of design, and ease of reproduction for the purposes stated above. The artist of the chosen logo will be notified via email by mid/late April 2026.
The prize for the selected entry includes:
$50 gift card to a local business of their choice (the business must be able to provide gift cards)
Gift package from Cape and Cowl Comics & Collectibles
Festival T-shirt and sticker with their logo
